Roads & Kingdoms
Roads & Kingdoms is a media company that creates inspired editorial on travel, food, culture, arts and politics from unexplored corners of the globe. Excited by the potential, ANML became the design team for R&K from the very beginning.
We established an identity and design system for R&K that would communicate the unapologetic and uncompromising quality of the journalism. We then went to work on R&K’s digital platform—developing an engaging user experience that gracefully housed a variety of multimedia content contributed from around the world.
The blend of digital-savvy design and unique editorial perspective from editors Matt Goulding (author of the Eat This Not That book series) and Nathan Thornburgh (former editor for Time Magazine) was a winning combination. The site has won numerous awards, including America’s Best Travel Journalism Site as named by the Society of American Travel Writers. We continue to be partners in crime, calling R&K when in need of content creation and supporting R&K projects that need a design hand. Photo: Mike Magers
