ANML collaborated with Palo Alto Networks, a global leader in cybersecurity, to enhance the user experience and content management system of their Documentation Site. To achieve this, ANML's development team partnered with Adobe to implement the Franklin CMS framework, which enables a broader group of contributors. Additionally, ANML's design team concentrated on streamlining the site's user experience to facilitate visitors' quick and efficient access to relevant information.
The project's primary goal was to update Palo Alto's content management system (CMS) to fit its unconventional development approach. PAN uses a doc-to-code framework to convert files in a GitHub repository into HTML pages, which eliminates the need for manual updates to the website. This made it easier to maintain both landing pages and Product Documentation pages, freeing up time for Palo Alto Network teams to focus on innovation.
We created a highly adaptable, theme-able design system that seamlessly switches between light and dark modes to enhance the user experience. Additionally, our system is scalable and can support an unlimited number of themes in the future.
In the recent overhaul of Palo Alto Network's documentation pages, ANML has markedly enhanced both the user experience and the visual aesthetics. The redesign prioritizes a user-friendly interface that is straightforward to navigate, catering specifically to engineers who are regular visitors. Our approach emphasized clarity, ease of scanning, and fluid usability, with design decisions driven by the content's needs.
